AL-Qur'an

Say: He is Allah, the One!

He begetteth not nor was begotten.

Allah, the eternally Besought of all!

And there is none comparable unto Him. (112. Al-Ikhlas 1-4)

THE UNIVERSITIES YOUR SONS AND DAUGHTERS ATTEND

STUDENT DRUNKENNESS AT RHODES

(Extract from The Herald  25th Aug. 2004)

"Rhodes University Vice-Chancellor Dr.David Woods has warned students against excessive drunken behaviour which could make them vulnerable to crime.

Last week over 1000 students marched in protest against what they said were inadequate security and safety measures.

The mmarch was sparked by the late-night gang-rape of an 18 year old student the prev ious weekend when she was walking from Rhodes Union on the campus to New Street.……...

"As an adult at a university, you need to understand the implications of excessive drinking and other behaviour that is irresponsible," said Dr.Woods. Both campus newspaper Activate’s editor Lesley Odendaal and Student Representative Council president Thamsanqa Moyo yesterday agreed that alcohol consumption by students was a problem. "Rhodes students are known for drinking a lot," said Miss Odendaal. "Drunk students think they are invincible……." Mr.Thamsanqua said student drinking was a problem."

Liquor, drugs, fornication and a host of evils and vices are salient activities of university students. In this cauldron of vice Muslim parents cast their sons and daughters. They soothe themselves with the idea that the pursuit of kufr education justifies the destruction of Akhlaaq (Islamic moral character) and the ruin of Imaan.

In their conception of life on earth, paving the pathway of Jahannum for their children is a small calamity in relation to being deprived of secular education. The dubious short term mundane and material interests are far superior for them than the everlasting success and happiness of Jannat. It has therefore become imperative to cast children into the bowels of vice and immorality — and confound the success of the Aakhirah. May Allah Ta’ala open the blinded eyes of Muslim parents.
